Information

Vincent Massey School Council runs many fundraisers throughout the school year to help with additional funding for all students, such as field trips. School Council meetings are usually on the last Monday of the month.  All parents are welcome to come to the meetings.

Vincent Massey operates on a philosophy that parents form an integral part of the partnership in the education of their children. In order for our School Council to be truly effective, we need a good representation of parents at our meetings.

 The mandate of the Council is:
to serve as a liaison between the parents and the school;

  • to create a sense of community and a spirit of co-operation between teachers, students and parents;
  • to recommend, assist and participate in various educational activities of the school and the school community;
  • to sponsor fund-raising projects, as the need arises;
  • to act as a vehicle for the discussion of general community concerns, and taking such action as is deemed necessary;
  • to encourage volunteer help at school functions, and in the classroom as required.

 Meetings are only once a month usually on the third Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. and your participation is needed and valued. See the calendar page of our website for dates of meetings.

 All parents/guardians are welcome, and encouraged to attend.  Please call the school for more information. Thank you.
